Posted February 08, 2020 09:31:20For a decade, animation fans and anime fans alike have been looking forward to the arrival of Netflix’s latest addition to its catalog: Cartoon Network’s newest animated series, The Legend of Korra, due to premiere this fall.
In a recent interview with Anime News Network, executive producer of The Legend Of Korra and the new animated series Lee Min Ho shared some details about the new series, including how the creators decided to bring anime and manga together.
“We tried to make it work with both, but also with both anime and anime-manga, and I think we have an interesting combination,” said Lee Min Hwan.
“Because one is a genre that really captures the spirit of the anime, and one is more a manga that has been done over and over and is just more about a story.
So, the combination of that, as well as the idea of bringing it to the streaming service, I think has worked out very well.”
The Legend is being developed by Cartoon Network, with series director and writer Taro Yoshitake serving as the series’ executive producer.
Lee MinHwan added that the creators are “really happy” with the way they have turned out.
“There’s a lot of energy and creativity,” he said.
“I’m really happy with the direction and the characters.
The characters are really good.
I think they really embody the spirit that we want to bring to the show.”
Lee MinHo also teased the possibility of a new animated show in the future, but didn’t specify which.
“In the future we’ll do something different.
I can’t say it’s just one of those shows that just doesn’t happen,” he teased.
“There’s so much that I can talk about.”
LeeMinHo and other members of The New Wave animated series are currently working on a new series based on the same theme as The Legend.
The New Waves first season of anime features a young boy named Shiro who becomes an animator.
In the show, Shiro is forced to become a photographer and takes on the role of a photographer for a company called The New Leaf.
The company is eventually purchased by a new corporation, The New Order.
